Durham's National Marketing Campaigns
Visit County Durham is providing a range of promotional opportunities to support visitor economy businesses.
Following the success of the Worth the Wait and Escape the Everyday campaigns, a new proposition for the county is currently in development, to drive visits from this autumn through to spring 2022.
Consumer insights are being used to develop the campaign that will tap in to how our target markets are feeling, what they are interested in, and what would inspire them to choose Durham.
Explore From Your Door
Targeting residents of the region, this digital campaign encourages consumers to rediscover where they live. Tapping in to the ‘Local Allure’ trend, which also sees a renewed sense of community result in people wanting to support their local businesses, Explore From Your Door highlights lesser known attractions, walking and cycling routes, beauty spots and picnic sites. The activity is also underpinned by Countryside Code messaging, to ensure people are enjoying Durham’s great outdoors safely and responsibly. As part of the activity, a weekly Explore From Your Door feature is broadcast on Durham OnAir.
