National Destination Marketing Campaign

Year three of the ‘Next Stop, Durham’ campaign will launch this autumn.

Running from October 2026 to May 2027, the campaign aims to inspire those who have travelled through the county by rail or road, but never visited, with high profile media activity.

Year one of the campaign reached over 18m consumers and contributed an estimated £165m in visitor spend, and we are looking to build on that success with year three of the national campaign.
