Memorable Moments

Durham’s Latest National Marketing Campaign

Visit County Durham, working in partnership with tourism businesses, has launched its latest destination marketing campaign to promote the county as a place to visit this autumn and winter.

The emotive ‘Memorable Moments’ theme will showcase the incredible experiences visitors can have in the county, including history and heritage, the great outdoors, food and drink, family fun and culture, with the supporting themes ensure that the campaign can benefit a broad range of Partners.

Campaign Partners include Beamish Museum, Durham Cathedral, Forestry Commission, Locomotion, Northumbrian Water, The Auckland Project, The Bowes Museum and Ushaw Historic House, Gardens and Chapels. In addition, a range of marketing opportunities were available to tourism businesses across the county, so they could be part of, and benefit from, the campaign.

Running from October 2022 to spring 2023, target audiences for the campaign are couples and families, with key activity including:

  • Full page advertorial in the Guardian Travel Guide
  • Online advertorials with the Manchester Evening News and Birmingham Mail
  • Online advertorial with Time Out
