Visit County Durham partners with 11 Arches to showcase the county
As Kynren, An Epic Tale of England celebrates its 10th anniversary season, Visit County Durham has partnered with 11 Arches to showcase the multi-award-winning outdoor show and the county to key media publications.
A group of journalists representing regional and national publications enjoyed a visit to Durham to see the preview of the 2025 season, as well as taking in some of the county key attractions.
The group was given the chance to explore The Auckland Project before enjoying a stay at Park Head Hotel, as well as a visit to Raby Castle, Park & Gardens and The Bowes Museum, highlighting the incredible range of attractions on offer across the county.
The trip was part of Visit County Durham’s continued work to reach target audiences in a bid to encourage visitors to the county. A range of publications were invited as media visits play a key role in promoting Durham as a destination.
Anna Warnecke, CEO of Kynren – An Epic Tale of England said: “Kynren’s 10th anniversary press preview was a wonderful celebration of everything our cast, crew and partners have helped us build over the past decade. We were delighted to welcome so many supporters and media to Bishop Auckland to experience the scale, creativity and passion that goes into every performance. Working in partnership with organisations like Visit County Durham is vital in helping us reach new audiences and showcase the rich cultural offer — not just at Kynren, but across the region. Together, we can make County Durham a must-visit destination.”
