Ramside Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort has firmly established itself among the UK’s leading golf and leisure destinations, securing its place in the prestigious NCG 100 Resorts list – a significant recognition of its continued rise, investment and ambition.  

National Club Golfer (NCG) is a leading UK authority on golf course rankings and reviews, widely recognised for its expertise in assessing golf courses, resorts, and destinations. It is best known for its NCG Top 100 rankings, which evaluate and rank golf venues across the UK and internationally based on playing experience, facilities, and overall quality. 

This achievement marks an important milestone in the resort’s journey from a small family-run hotel on the outskirts of Durham City to one of the most talked-about multi-experience destinations in the North East. Its inclusion in the NCG 100 reflects not only the quality of its two championship golf courses, but also the scale, diversity and innovation of the wider resort offering.  

Today, the resort features 127 hotel rooms and 10 luxury Treehouses, a destination spa, two championship golf courses, multiple food and beverage venues, and extensive conferencing and wedding facilities.  

A key part of its recent evolution has been the introduction of The Pin at Ramside, the resort’s new entertainment complex. With its heated two-tier Toptracer driving range, live sports screens, bowling, shuffleboard, darts and American-style dining, The Pin has redefined the visitor experience and broadened Ramside’s appeal well beyond traditional golf audiences. It has helped position the resort as a year-round destination for both golfers and non-golfers alike.
