Durham secure two Men’s international matches in 2027
Durham Cricket are delighted to announce that the Banks Homes Riverside in Chester-le-Street will host two England Men’s international fixtures during the 2027 season, bringing both One Day International and IT20 cricket back to the North East.
The 2027 international schedule will see England take on Pakistan in a Metro Bank One Day International on Sunday 23 May, before England face New Zealand in an IT20 on Tuesday 7 September.
2027 International Fixtures – Banks Homes Riverside
- Sunday 23 May 2027 – England Men v Pakistan Men (One Day International), 11:00am
- Tuesday 7 September 2027 – England Men v New Zealand Men (IT20), 6:30pm
The ODI against Pakistan will mark a significant milestone as it will be the first time Pakistan have played an international fixture at the Banks Homes Riverside since 2010. The match also forms an important part of the teams preparations ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup later that winter, adding further significance to what promises to be a memorable occasion.
New Zealand return to Chester-le-Street for what is expected to be another thrilling contest. Widely regarded as two of the world’s leading T20 international sides, England and New Zealand have consistently produced entertaining matches, and another packed Banks Homes Riverside is expected for the September fixture.
Durham Cricket’s Marketing Director, David Jackson, said: “It’s fantastic to be bringing two England Men’s international fixtures back to Durham once again, and we’re delighted to be hosting both a One Day International and an IT20, meaning there’s something for every cricket fan.
“We’re especially pleased to welcome Pakistan to the Banks Homes Riverside on a Sunday. They haven’t played in the North East for a number of years and it’s a fixture we expect will prove incredibly popular, with demand for tickets likely to be very high.
“Hosting England against New Zealand is always a special occasion too, with two of the world’s best T20 teams going head-to-head in what promises to be another outstanding international night at the Banks Homes Riverside.”
Ticket sale dates will be announced in due course. Durham Cricket Members will receive priority access to tickets, along with exclusive discounted prices. Supporters will also be able to take advantage of a package offer when purchasing tickets for both international fixtures.
There will be no England Women’s international at the Banks Homes Riverside in 2027, with the women’s white-ball international schedule reduced due to the Ashes Test series taking place during the summer.

Tickets for the final international of the 2026 summer are still available to purchase. England take on Sri Lanka in a One Day international on Tuesday 22 September at 12.30pm.Tickets can be purchased online or from the club box office.
