North East England Tourism Awards
The awards play a major role in showcasing the fantastic range of high quality experiences in the North East and are FREE for tourism businesses to enter. As well as providing a benchmark for all businesses to aspire to, the awards deliver significant benefits to shortlisted and winning businesses alike. By taking part it can raise the profile of your business and help to improve business performance in terms of turnover, profitability, quality, sustainability, staff morale and customer satisfaction.

The biggest night in tourism is back as we welcome applications for the 2026 North East England Tourism Awards. This is your chance to showcase your excellence and quality, gain national recognition and celebrate your successes across a range of categories.
This year, we've opened all the categories at once, including the core categories like Large Visitor Attraction of the Year and Small Hotel alongside our new local categories that were introduced last year, Volunteer, Rising Star and Tourism Festival and Event.
The awards are open to all tourism businesses which meet the published criteria for the category or categories they are entering. Entrants from County Durham, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear are all eligible to apply.
