Durham Business Growth The Durham Business Growth Programme is funded by UKSPF and delivered by Business Durham. The goal of the programme is to increase productivity, de-carbonise and support growth for businesses in County Durham. The program has been opened to many sectors, including rural and visitor economy businesses. Several support strands are available, including specialist support from our partners at the BEEP team delivering energy audits, RTC North delivering productivity improvement support, and Umi delivering digital health checks. We are offering one to many events covering various topics, along with a meet the buyer event on the 21st May 2024. Grant support is available to deliver growth projects. There are two types of grants: revenue, and capital grants. Revenue grants are from £1,000-£10,000 at a 40% intervention rate, and can be used for non-tangible assets, including specialist consultancy, along with potential support for small capital costs. Capital grants are for capital projects delivering growth and are available from £10,000 to £200,000 with a maximum intervention rate of 40%. Capital grant recipients are required to create at least one new job per £12,000 of the grant awarded, safeguarding of jobs may be acceptable as an alternative in exceptional circumstances. Businesses can view upcoming events and register for the programme at www.durhambusinessgrowth.co.uk. Following registration, business will receive contact from one of the business engagement officers to arrange a meeting to discuss the business, create a business review document, and identify potential support opportunities through the Durham Business Growth Programme.
